Foreign EyeThe Netherlands has many corners to discover for a foreigner’s eye, but I never imagined I would come across such a scene when walking along the dunes during my weekend trip to the quiet island of Texel.
For a couple of days I was camping in the garden of a very friendly farmer family, and there I could notice that the rhythm of life there is much different than in the crowded Randstad. There is no glimpse of stress or hassle there; nature, farms, fishermen and sheep (everywhere) make an oasis of calm out of this beautiful piece of land.
