Abhigyan Singh (30, India) arrived in Delft from Helsinki in April 2011. In Finland he graduated with an MSc degree in new media design. He now works in the EEMCS faculty’s intelligence systems department.

Singh comes from Korba, India, in the Chhattisgarh province. This region is renowned for its thick forests, where various tribes live who rarely if ever have contact with the outside world. The region is however rich in minerals and other natural resources. The Indian government is therefore keen on mining in the region and this regularly leads to conflicts. The region’s indigenous people are a popular subject for anthropologists. The book that Abhigyan displays is about these people.
