Nostalgia

Lourdes Maria Silva de Souza, 27, is from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is a PhD student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. She can’t find traditional Brazilian black beans here so she always brings some back when she travels home.&

nbsp; They are part of the national dish of Brazil, feijoada, a stew made with beans and pork. Traditionally, it was made from remains of a pig, like the snout, tail, ears and legs. She doesn’t like that so she uses plain sausage.
