Something very green is growing right under our noses on the TU Delft campus. The Green Village is a unique endeavor to create a totally sustainable scientific and entrepreneurial space for people to solve environmental challenges.

Buying a new laptop is never easy. To start with, you set a budget. Then there’s endless research needed. What kind of processor, what software? Then come the compromises – do I need touchscreen on my laptop? 14 inches or 15 inches? And, once you’ve narrowed all of that down, you’re stuck having to work out how much your budget can stretch.

The eighteenth edition of this classical music festival takes place between July 25 and August 3 2014.

Each year countries across the world are affected by temporary flooding, resulting in human suffering and billions of dollars of damage. TU Delft is hosting and coordinating Flood Proof Holland II (FPH II), a test and demonstration site (polder) where alternatives to the traditional sandbag are tested for efficacy as methods of temporary flood defence.

Earlier this year, twenty students from TU Delft were invited to Italy to work with the world-renowned design firm – Alessi. That’s not all, if all goes well, we may soon see a TU Delft design manufactured by the Italian brand.

Driving to the south of France, enjoying a beer on a campsite, lazing on a sunny beach or strolling around a big city? Some students will be spending the summer doing something completely different.
