New incubator for student projects
A new incubator for student projects officially opened its doors this week: the KD Campus, on the site of the former Dutch Kabelfabriek on the banks of the Schie River. The KD Campus is a place where student teams, affiliated with TU Delft, can work on various innovation projects, such as hydrogen cars, solar racing cars or boats competing in world competitions. It is expected that a number of dreamteams from TU will move to this area, now that it has become clear that not all teams will be able to use the Dreamhall anymore. The construction of the KD Campus started in September 2020. The first teams, such as Forze Delft, FS Team Delft and Solar Boat Team are already working at the new location. On Wednesday 13 January the KD Campus was officially opened by alderman Stephan Brandligt.
