Student council electionsOras has won the student council elections, getting 56 percent of the vote and increasing its number of seats from five to six this year.

Aag got 44 percent of the vote, falling just short of a ‘reserve’ seat and now has four seats. The new council will begin work next September. Almost a quarter of all students voted this year, which is an increase of three percent over last year`s turnout, and both Oras and Aag gained more votes this year. Last year the new Kritische Studenten Bond gained seven percent of the vote but no seats. This year the election reverted back to tradition–a battle between the two largest student council factions.

What could be better than a part-time job that pays you to be creative, improve your English skills and entertain your fellow students and colleagues? We invite TU students and staff members to write for Page 4%%no experience necessary. We’re looking for articles about the following: interesting research/study projects, faculty/foreign student events (sports, social, cultural), slice-of-life stories about life as a foreigner in Holland and at the TU, or, frankly, any subject that you think will interest, amuse, entertain%our readers. We need 800-word and 400-word articles. We pay 70 euros for 800-word articles, and 40 euros for 400-word articles. Your English-language punctuation and grammar are not our primary concerns % we have editors to correct these. Interested?
